How TravelPrep handles destination browsing, trip-essential filters, basic technical logs, affiliate links, Google analytics, and publisher tooling.

Last updated: 2026-05-28

TravelPrep operates on a data-minimization basis. We do not provide account registration, do not ask users to submit payment details, and do not actively request passport scans, ID uploads, or other highly sensitive personal documents.

This policy explains what information may be processed when you browse destination guides, use trip-essential filters, click affiliate links, or when Google Analytics and Google publisher products operate on the site.

1. Information we currently process

To render pages and trip-essential filters, the site may temporarily process travel-related choices such as destination, product category, and query parameters.

Those inputs are used primarily to generate on-page results and preserve page state. Apart from basic technical logs, we do not maintain long-term personal profiles based on those inputs.

  • Basic access data, such as IP address, device type, browser type, timestamp, referrer, request path, and basic error logs.
  • Page-state data, such as selected destination and query parameters, so the site can behave consistently after refreshes and navigation.
  • Affiliate-click data, where a partner or affiliate network may record click source, timestamp, device information, and attribution parameters after you open a partner link.

2. Information we do not actively collect

  • We do not currently offer user registration, login, or membership accounts.
  • We do not currently process card details, payment credentials, or insurance claim materials on the site.
  • We do not currently require passport-photo uploads, visa-page uploads, or other identity-document uploads.
  • We do not sell personal information.

3. Why we process information

  • To provide core site functionality, including page routing, destination browsing, trip-essential filters, and performance stability.
  • To maintain security and troubleshoot failures, including abnormal traffic review and server or application error logging.
  • To understand whether content pages and partner entry points are useful, including measuring destination-page visits or partner-link clicks.
  • To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.

4. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

The site may use necessary cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to preserve page state and essential security settings. These technologies are generally used so the site can function properly.

The site may also use Google Analytics, Google publisher products, affiliate attribution, or similar technologies to measure content performance, understand partner-link usage, and support advertising or monetization. Where required by applicable law, we will provide consent controls or cookie notices.

5. Google services disclosure

TravelPrep uses Google Analytics and may use Google publisher products such as Google AdSense. These services may process device information, browser information, approximate location, page views, referrers, cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, and interaction or attribution data.

Google processes this information under its own policies. You can review Google's privacy documentation, partner-site technology explanation, ads controls, and analytics opt-out options using the links below.

6. Affiliate links and third-party services

TravelPrep may display third-party eSIM, insurance, hotel, tour, transfer, and other travel-service partner links. Once you click out to a third-party site or affiliate network, that party will process information under its own privacy policy.

Before purchasing, subscribing, or activating a third-party service, you should separately review that provider's privacy policy, cookie policy, and terms.

7. Sharing of information

  • Hosting, content delivery, logging, security, and performance providers.
  • Affiliate networks, partner merchants, or attribution providers, but only to the extent needed for click measurement, commission settlement, or source verification.
  • Regulators, courts, or law-enforcement bodies where disclosure is legally required.

8. Retention and security

We try to limit retention and keep data only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the site, troubleshoot issues, meet legal obligations, or maintain standard business records.

No website can guarantee absolute security. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, but cannot promise that internet transmission or third-party systems are risk-free.

9. Your choices

  • You may stop using the site at any time or avoid submitting unnecessary trip-essential inputs.
  • You may clear cookies and local storage in your browser or use private-browsing modes.
  • Where consent is required for Google or advertising tools, we will provide an appropriate consent-management flow.

10. Children

This site is intended as a general travel-information website and is not primarily directed to children. If you are a minor, please use the site with parent or guardian guidance.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if site features, partners, Google-service usage, or legal requirements change. The revised date on this page will show the latest update.
